Kuwait's Jazeera Airways insources ground handling at Kuwait Airport to boost efficiency, enhance service, and cut costs, reinforcing its regional leadership.

Kuwait City, March 2025 – Jazeera Airways, Kuwait’s premier low-cost carrier, is making a bold move to enhance its operational efficiency and elevate the passenger experience by insourcing ground handling services at Kuwait International Airport. This strategic initiative marks a significant milestone in the airline’s transformation journey, aimed at optimizing turnaround times, improving service quality, and reducing unit costs.

Marwan Boodai, Chairman of Jazeera Airways, emphasized the importance of this shift, stating, “With the successful integration of aircraft maintenance and aviation training under Jazeera, taking control of ground handling operations is another crucial step in our long-term strategy. This move will allow us to enhance operational efficiency, ensure seamless service, and maintain competitive fares for our passengers.

As the airline gears up for expansion, including the arrival of new aircraft, this in-house approach is expected to streamline operations and reinforce Jazeera Airways’ commitment to delivering superior service. The airline currently handles over 18,000 ground rotations annually uye accounts for 31% of Kuwait’s passenger traffic, solidifying its role as a key player in the region’s aviation sector.

Commitment to Kuwait’s Vision 2035

Beyond optimizing operations, Jazeera Airways is actively investing in Kuwait’s aviation sector in alignment with the government’s Chiratidzo 2035. The airline is set to launch mitsva mitsva that will contribute to local economic growth and create job opportunities for Kuwaiti talent.
